报告题目：Photosynthesis with a twist in a warming world
Lianhong Gu is a senior research and development staff scientist in the Ecosystem Observations and Experiments group and the Climate Change Science Institute at ORNL. He received his MS in ecology from the ChineseAcademy of Sciences and his PhD in environmental sciences from the University of Virginia (UVA). Prior to his post at ORNL, Gu held the position of project scientist/associate specialist at the University of California at Berkeley’s Department of Environmental Sciences and research associate in the Department of Environmental Sciences at UVA.
Gu possesses expert knowledge in instrumentation for environmental and meteorological research such as portable photosynthesis systems, soil chambers, trace gas/isotopic analyzers, sonic and cup anemometers, hygrometers, radiometers, spectro-radiometers, infrared thermometers, leaf area meters and data loggers.He is proficient in C, C++, and Fortran programming languages, as well as Windows and Linux operating systems. Gu is also familiar with the structure and operation of eddy covariance flux tower systems, numerical analysis, statistics, and various software such as MatLab and SigmaPlot.
Gu has refereed for more than a dozen preeminent journals including Nature,Global Change Biology, The New Phytologist, and Geophysical Research Letters and has also authored or co-authored numerous letters for these publications.
